Apple Crisp Apple Pie – got the idea from @lucaswoodardhomestead Its a regular homemade Flour & Butter Pie Crust on the bottom ( I don’t plan on eating that part but others will ), sliced apples, cinnamon, brown sugar in middle layer and top layer: a mixture of melted butter, Splenda Brown Sugar Blend ( takes the curse off too much sugar), cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, chopped almonds, almond flour and a bit of oatmeal. ( yes I plan on eating the middle and top layers ) Bake 375 1 hour. Keto Pumpkin & Pecan Cake – I actually grew these little pumpkins, roasted them, peeled them and turned it into This!
4 eggs room temperature
11/2 cups Pumpkin Purée
½ cup creamy almond butter
¼ cup coconut oil melted
½ cup swerve Brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup + 2 tablespoons coconut flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon allspice Grated Ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon sea salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Happy Happy Autumn Equinox Today, exact at 9:30am Eastern Time. This is a time lapse of last nights Fall Equinox class @steamhousenh . Someone asked me yesterday, “What is the Equinox”? It’s a great question because it is such a great time of change and transformation both personal and environmental. The Day & Night, the Light & the Dark are Equal in length. Because of this nature’s cycles are mirrored in our lives and we feel this in our internal clock, that biological rhythm of life. Last night, in my yoga classes we tuned into the rhythm of the season in a really beautiful way. It was like everyone in the class connected and supported the group energy of this Fall time. There are a few things you can be sure of right now. Fall is about Change, it’s Mysterious, we tune into Preservation ( think canning food or organizing the Pantry ), Protection ( we get our our layers of Winter Clothing or change our Tires), Comfort ( we make a cup of Hot Tea or plan a comforting Hot Bath), Balance, and most of all Letting Go. As we watch the leaves fall those natural cycles are mirrored in our lives as we organize the closets, get the kids back to school and get into a Fall routine. Routine is very much a part of this Season. Make the routine of treasuring your own vitality and radiance by setting up a Yoga Practice. It’s something we can do, whether you come into our socially distanced studio or practice from home. Steam House is a wonderful supportive community for your wellbeing. I have so much Gratitude for the Steam House community and it is such an honor to teach and practice yoga with everyone there. Fall may be a time of letting go but it is also a time to be Generous with yourself. I will be teaching Thursday Morning Sept. 24 Hot Vinyasa 60 and I hope to see you. Even if you have never practiced Yoga, your practice has lagged, or you feel too over the hill, my class will be something where you can level up or level down in a supportive and accepting environment.
