Red Influential Tara, the Tenth emanation of the Twenty-One Taras, is a figure of joy and laughter. Her Tibetan name, Jigten Sumle Gyalma, signifies the triumph and streaming of her victory banner and exuberant mood. She is the Jolly Red Influential Tara, overcoming the three realms. I like to think of her as the social and laugh-it-off Deity who recognizes those vulnerable parts of yourself that may have been severely hurt and are still hurting but makes a joke about it, and you can move past your hurt and attachment to the issue. She is jolly and fun to be with, like a fun aunt or grandma, boosting your overall mood and self-confidence with her fun demeanor.
Her unique ability is that as a Red Tara, she can protect and magnetize worldly activities that cause a disconnect from non-dual awareness or expanded enlightened consciousness. Her humor and larger-than-life spirit magnetizes open awareness to come forth to you.
Red Influential Tara is a deity who guides individuals towards acting with pure intention in the world. By invoking her presence, you can experience joy and laughter that aids in clarifying your motivation. Sometimes, we all need to just look at the funny side of life, and she is there to remind us of that.
